Monrovia Weekly: “Dr. Nazee Rofagha, D.C., has her finger on the pulse of neurological rehabilitation.”
Dr. Rofagha – Neurological Rehabilitation Specialist
November, 2014
In addition to practicing complete traditional chiropractic care, Rofagha incorporates a “no boundaries” mindset in her work and is one of the few doctors in the area that is trained to perform Neurological Rehabilitation, an emerging new collection of non-invasive techniques designed to evaluate and rehabilitate nerves in the body.
Currently, Dr. Rofagha is completing the third of the three Modules of Quantum Neurology® Rehabilitation Training. Developed by Dr. George Gonzalez, DC, QN, this advanced healing concept uses the patient’s own Nervous System to guide their rehabilitation.
Also trained and certified in NRCT™ (Neurological Relief Centers Technique), Dr. Rofagha remains committed to seeking out new, forward-thinking non-invasive techniques such as these to further help her patients suffering from chronic pain, injuries and conditions. Though each body is different, when these progressive practices work, the results are often described by patients as miraculous and immediate.
“I was at my wit’s end because the constant pain that traveled throughout my body for decades was becoming unbearable,” said Karen Singer, a 20-plus year Fibromyalgia sufferer who recently visited Dr. Rofagha for testing and therapy that included specialized techniques that stimulate the Nervous System, Infrared Light Therapy and Vibration Therapy. The change happened when, through Dr. Rofagha’s efforts, her neck muscle got stronger. “The intensity of the pain in my back went from a level seven to a three within 15 minutes. For the first time in years, I left a doctor’s office with less pain and more hope.”
These non-intrusive techniques relieve stress on the entire spinal cord with gentle pressure, allowing practitioners, such as Dr. Rofagha, to test how efficiently the nerves are controlling a patient’s muscles, senses, organs and sensation of skin. The sensations control what a person feels, including pain. The goal is to improve the quality of information being sent along the entire path of the nervous system.
Once the problem areas are determined, the restoration of accurate communication of the nerve ensues. This type of care makes the body more aware of what is not functioning correctly and facilitates the nerves to reprogram themselves so that the body can heal quickly and naturally.
“I strive to identify the roots of my patients’ problems and what techniques they respond to, not only focusing on the symptoms,” said Dr. Rofagha, who works with people with a wide range of mild-to-debilitating conditions including Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Migraines, Anxiety, Fatigue, Insomnia, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy and more as well as Neuropathy and people suffering from nerve-related pain such as pain radiation, tingling and throbbing sensations which are collectively referred to as “a neurological condition.”
“I respect what science and medicine can do but sometimes it is not enough. People realize they have a choice now, with all of the emerging techniques breaking ground in pain management and neurological rehabilitation; which is exciting. Patients are optimistic, after exhausting traditional remedies and medicine, that there is something that can still be done to potentially relieve their chronic pain and discomfort.”
Dr. Rofagha’s interest in progressive non-invasive healing techniques was born years ago from her own frustration and desire to help alleviate some of her mother’s life-altering pain. It has since grown into a passion to help as many people as possible. Currently patients throughout the San Gabriel Valley, San Fernando Valley and Greater Los Angeles travel to Rofagha’s Pasadena office for this one-of-a-kind-treatment.
This is what some of her patients have to say about the treatment:
“I learned about Quantum Neurology a few years ago from a primary MD because my daughter was going to have surgery to release her tethered spinal cord. The MD though it would be prudent to use Quantum Neurology after surgery to strengthen my daughter’s nervous system. I chose Dr. Rofagha and we have been thrilled with her and her sensitive and extensive care of my daughter’s condition. Not only has she been able to strengthen my daughter’s nervous system; she is now implementing muscle lengthening with my daughter. We have been coming one to two times a week for treatment and we have seen significant increases in her flexibility without having to do an hour a day of stretching a day, which would have been my daughter’s other option. Not only has my daughter gained strength and flexibility she has also improved emotionally and mentally with Quantum Neurology. I would highly recommend Dr. Rofagha for especially for any neurological or pain symptoms you might be experiencing.” – Kara Gordon, RN, BSN
“Needless to say, I hold the work that Dr. Nazee Rofagha D.C. is doing in high esteem. I had a great time working with her on the therapies. She has a very pleasant demeanor, and provides a positive environment for her patients. Nerve rehabilitation is a terrific option for people with spinal cord injuries.” – Richard Bell
“I’m going to sound like a late-night TV commercial here, but I swear it’s true: that treatment fixed not only my lower back, but pretty much every area of my body that was acting up – and Dr. Rofagha did it without ever manipulating a single bone. She treated the nerves instead (nothing invasive or electrical) and basically reactivated whole segments of my nervous system that had become compromised. I left feeling lighter, straighter, and better than I had in a while. And when I got to Tai Chi class later that day, I felt my energy flowing much more freely and fluidly than it ever had before. The difference was so dramatic that tears came to my eyes – such a quick change, after so many years of practice! I’m not much of a medical expert, so I can’t tell you the finer points of how or why Dr. Rofagha’s treatment works. All I know is that it does work, it makes a clear difference, and it greatly reduces my stiffness and pain. I’ve become somewhat of an evangelist for Dr. Rofagha now, sending all my aching middle-aged friends her way. ‘Just go see her,’ I say. ‘I promise, she’ll help you.’”
A long-standing national board-certified chiropractor licensed by the State of California Board of Chiropractic Examiners and Neurological Rehabilitation Specialist, Dr. Rofagha and the family Chiropractic Wellness Center is located at 1017 South Fair Oaks Avenue in Pasadena.
